About the Council

South Atlantic fishermen, seafood dealers and wholesalers, restaurateurs, chefs, and others that rely on fishing have united to form the Council for Sustainable Fishing, a nonprofit membership-based organization that fosters and advances the interests of the fishing industry – both commercial and recreational.

The Council is committed to optimizing and sustaining fishing opportunities for commercial and recreational fishermen to aid the coastal economy of the South Atlantic region and ensure stable seafood availability to consumers.

The Council works to maximize Annual Catch Limits and flexibility in rebuilding fish stocks, fight unnecessary fishery regulations, and achieve more accurate and timely fishery management data.

It takes a united effort of all fishing interests, as our members recognize, to impact the federal fisheries management process and its bureaucracy.

Please unite with us and join today!
